Bron-y-Gader

Bunkhouse accommodation in North Wales' Conwy Valley

Bron-y-Gader is situated 290m (950ft) above the Conway valley within the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park in North Wales and provides bunkhouse style self-catering accommodation for groups of up to 37 people to be self-sufficient in the great outdoors. The centre is hired out for exclusive sole group use - we do not take bookings from individuals.

The centre was established in 1970 to provide affordable accommodation for schools and youth organisations involved in introducing young people to the great outdoors, especially those undertaking the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme, but we also welcome bookings from groups of all types and ages.

With direct access to the many paths and tracks leading to the mountains of the Carneddau range, with its seven peaks over 3000 feet and also to the whole of Eryri and the North Wales coast, Bron-y-Gader Bunkhouse provides an ideal base for outdoor adventurers, young and old.

For over 50 years, the centre has been developed, maintained and managed by a charitable trust and its volunteers.

Bron-y-Gader Outdoor Centre is owned by Blackburn and District Outdoor Pursuits Centre Trust (registered charity number: 521024) and managed by the Trust's volunteers.
